My family and I stayed in an RV at the Bow Valley Provincial Campground on Thanksgiving Weekend. It was fairly cold, to be expected in the mountains, and snowed part of the time. The campground is set on the Bow River, with majestic mountains to the North and West (including Mt. Yamnuska - a great day hike for the adventurous).... More

Be certain to take this drive either at sunrise or no earlier than 7:30 at night. We saw a moose, deer, and mule deer. The area has a lot of hiking trails and picnic tables as well. It is a beautiful drive.

If you are sdtaying South of Lake Louise (Canmore Area) you need to take the Bow Valley Provincial Highway throught this park. We used it 3 days of our trip and saw some amazing scenery and wildlife. lucky enough to see a black bear and a magnifient male elk. This is a must visit if you are in the area.

Completed two hikes yesterday in this park. The Montane Trail and then Many Springs. Both are good beginner hikes for those who want a slower pace. Many Springs has had damage in the floods so you could not complete a full circuit. Lots of flowers. Had lunch a White Fish which is a beautiful picnic spot along the river with... More

Accompanied 27 girls to Middle Lake in the park. Great interpretive programme put on by the Parks. Kids loved wandering in pond looking for "critters"! It's a Wetlands investigation.

Spent a week here for a family getaway. Nice large spots. We were in the C loop which was a nice privately treed area. Only bad thing, the showers are so far away you have to drive there. Wish there was a few more trails to the river but of course after the flooding it's expected. The one lady at... More

I visited Bow Valley Provincial Park Campground on 08/08/2013. We made reservation two weeks prior to our arrival and been given space number. We registered at the campground office and drove to our site. Upon arrival on site we found pick-up truck on our site. We go back to office to inform them about it. We have been told it... More
