Wine tasting

We've visited many times over the years. All one can say is he pours some lovely wines from wineries w/o tasting rooms. Not the most chatty guy behind the counter but as I said... read more

I guess it's a personality thing. It was the best tasting room we tried. The wines were excellent and there was little pressure to buy (no guilt trips). It seems that Chris, the owner's, personality is the thing -- yah either love the guy or ...not so much. We loved the guy. He was very knowledgeable and more than willing... More

This guy is the worst. . Avoid like the plague and head on out to Demetria. Also he informed us after the fact that he doesn't take credit cards if you only do the tasting and don't buy bottles (and we certainly weren't buying bottles from him). The "Cranky Old Man" term used to describe the bartender in multiple reviews, is... With so many tasting rooms it is hard to stand out. We enjoyed ourselves and the service was just fine.

We have been Los Olivos many times. We actually spent August there but it was 2014. The disappointing thing about Los Olivos is that we went because of the numerous art galleries. We always went in August because it was our anniversary. The first time we found out of the Quick Draw contest which featured artists that were shown in... More

My husband and I were on a road trip back from San Diego to our home in Paso Robles. To break up the trip we thought of stopping in our favorite little wine town of Los Olivos. So many great tasting rooms and restaurants. It was afternoon and we were glad to stretch our legs, and went to a well... More

My husband and I visited Los Olivos the weekend of 2/27/15. We discovered this nice wine tasting room as we were walking by. Staff is great and so was the wine selection.

The owner usually has good Pinot Noir for tasting. Never remembers us despite being there numerous times. I liked the Center of Effort Pinot Noir for $42. Tasting fee was $10. He tried to sell us a cheaper Alma Rosa for $7 more than the winery charges after pouring a much better Alma Rosa Pinot Noir.

The owner of this wine shop may know a lot about Pinot Noir, but has a lot to learn about customer service. He was disrespectful and awkward. He made a mistake with charging my credit card (double charged), and while he did correct the charges, he was exceptionally rude to my fiancé and I when we pointed his error out... More

We took a drive from Solvang to Los Olivos. It was only a few miles from Solvang. The town is very small and quaint. There was a scarecrow contest going on and all of the shops were extremely creative. As well as many wonderful wine tasting rooms there was an adorable garden center with some amazing garden art.
