Small-Group Santa Barbara Wine Tour (MAX SIX GUESTS) to Private Locations

68 reviews
Tour Santa Barbara wine country with a private guide on this full day outing. Perfect for couples and small groups who appreciate exclusivity, this tour visits intimate, family-owned vineyards not typically open to the general public. Get the VIP treatment with tours of the cellars and vineyards, often with the owners themselves. You’ll never stand at a crowded tasting bar on this tour—it’s red carpet treatment all the way.

Atmosphere: large shady lawns with comfy couches; tables and chairs near tasting room Service: friendly Wine: excellent. We especially liked the 2017 barrel aged Pinot noir. These are quality wines - recommend sharing them with family and friends who truly appreciate fine wines. Be aware: reservations required for tastings; however, wine may be purchased by the bottle or glass without a reservation.

This was my second visit to Fess Parker winery this summer. I had hoped things had improved so I wouldn't need to write this review but sadly they have not. While the servers and hosts are friendly, they spend little time discussing the wines being poured and more importantly all are poured at once and left on your table. Needless to say they get hot! Good spacing for the virus but i will now go to the wineries that pour each taste one at a time.

Hi ConnieLongBeach, We're sorry to hear you were disappointed with your recent visit to the winery. We're still working on perfecting our outdoor service model and the last few weeks of unprecedented heat have certainly been challenging. I'll be sharing your feedback with our Director of Hospitality so that we can address the issues you mention. We do hope you'll give us another shot in the future. Best, Greer Shull & the Fess Parker team

So nice. The grounds are stunning, the servers were so kind and the wine was very good, especially The Big Easy. It's nice drinking wine made by Daniel Boone's family.

My wife and I loved, loved, LOVED our wine-tasting adventure at Fess Parker. We've been there pre-COVID, but the outdoor venue was spectacularly scenic. Our enthusiastic host (Kasie) presented our tastings in a visual spectrum and was knowledgeable about all wines. We left with some bottles to enjoy at home and look forward to our next visit. We will need to have Kasie again.

I visited the vineyards in May 2018. While I enjoyed the time I spent at the vineyard itself, I was disappointed in our horseback riding adventure. I was prompted to write this review as my memories just popped up from my visit and the one single picture from my phone that I had of my mom and I on Mother's Day horseback riding. We spent 2-3 hours on our private horseback ride, but did not have any pictures. I brought a nice, professional camera but was told by our guide, that she would take all the photos of us. We posed throughout the vineyard and it was so nice not to worry about the photos. She got so many great shots of us, or I assume. I was supposed to receive all the photos via email and those never came. I followed up for weeks asking if I could get my photos, I texted, I called, and NO ONE replied. Needless to say, I'm still bitter that I paid for a private tour, it was a memorable day with my mom, and I would have cherished those pictures forever. Even if the pictures were lost by the guide, why not just tell me what happened? Either way, word of advice, the grounds are beautiful and if you do have the option of taking your own photos, go with that.
