The metro rail was easy to navigate, even though they were partially closed on a weekend. Shuttle buses were available at no cost, I walked one day and took the subway down Hollywood Boulevard to arrive at my destination.

Is there free parking at these stations? We will probably be staying close to Glendale but I am sure will end up riding the trains/subways occasionally

There is free parking, however overnight parking varies by station (if you are so inclined) several cities have security connected with the parking lots ans require a permit to leave your vehicle overnight to offset... More
