I've been a customer since they opened and I keep going back for more. The crafstmanship of their chocolate is extraordinary. This is not finished chocolate. It is gritty and very flavorful, the way chocolate should be. There are many flavors to choose from I especially like the Mayan.

my wife and i shared a "full flight" - samples of 13 different dark chocolates. included were several levels of intensity/% chocolate solids: 100%, 85%, one or two sweeter. the 85% was outstanding, with a strong chocolate finish without the bitterness that often comes with high percentages, or the blandness that comes when a chocolate maker reduces that bitterness by... Actually, I came here to find a new chocolate for our monthly chocolate contest at work. What I found: Sweet staff, sweet chocolate, sweet coffee...tastings...exotic flavors....a rustic bar. Who could ask for more? It is a learning experience for chocolate lovers. The flavors are deep and unusual. If you want an unusual, rustic chocolate experience, this visit will wake you... More

This place is super cool. It's both a learning experience as well as a dining experience. They are a chocolate specialty company, and will let you go through chocolate tastings where you sample different types of chocolate. Some examples will include 100% cacao chocolate, 85% cacao, 75% cacao, and 65% cacao. 65% cacao means it's 65% cacao and 35% sugar.... More

An intimate chocolate tasting bar...taste many savory flavors and learn how it is made. The staff know what they are talking about, they are passionate and welcoming. You have not tasted chocolate until you have tasted Chocovivo!

Staying in Venice

Neighbourhood Profile
Venice has always danced to its own beat as the epicenter of bohemian culture in Los Angeles. Along the boardwalk there are street performers and local craftsmen selling their wares. Original paintings, souvenirs, and jewelry are on display. Crowds of visitors marvel at the sites while weightlifting enthusiasts pump iron in plain view, and skateboarders do their tricks around the skate park. All of it happens under the warm California sun with sprawling views of sand and sea. Heading east, the main drags of Abbot Kinney Boulevard and Main Street are lined with boutique shops, some major retail stores, art galleries and restaurants. Here the ambiance is more relaxed and upscale than the frenetic boardwalk area. Venice is a mostly walkable (and certainly bikeable) neighborhood, full of areas to explore.
