Established in 1934, when a dozen local farmers parked their trucks on an open field (once a dairy farm) to sell fresh produce to local residents, the Market has remained true to its roots ever since. With nearly 100 dining, shopping and grocery opportunities, Farmers Market has something for everyone. More than seventy-five years later the Farmers Market remains the one stop shop for every visitor’s needs.

Part vintage Los Angeles, part modern shopping destination. We had excellent corned beef sandwiches from Magee's, and tasty Louisiana cooking at The Gumbo Pot. Almost every type of food was available, plus souvenirs and people watching in a classic setting. One of the best things...More

We first encountered the farmer's market early in our trip. We enjoyed it so much that we returned the next day for dinner. Lots of stands where you can get empanadas, burgers, and even amazing corned beef sandwiches.

It was our stop after the Los Angeles tour. The driver stop there so we can grab a bite and shop but it was nothing special for my honeymoon trip.

When I am in LA for business I always try to stop by for lunch. A great place to walk around with a multitude of options to choose from. The Grove Shopping is right next door.

Good place to get fresh fruits and veggies. Lots of little shops to stop and shop from nuts, sweets and souvenirs. Parking can be a challenge and a bit pricey. Good place to shop and eat.

I don't know for sure, but really not a good idea because it is always so crowded, the dog might get stepped on. an there diffenitly not place for them to "go".
