Some friends got this as a birthday/Christmas gift for me and my boyfriend last year. It took us a while to actually book the tour, but we finally got around to it. I'm a vegetarian, but most of the tours seemed like they could accommodate dietary restrictions. We decided the Arts District tour sounded fun, so we booked a tour... More

Brian was a great tour guide. We did the downtown tour. We all had breakfast and had no problem eating all the food on the tour. Had a good variety of different foods and restaurants that I probably wouldn't have found on my own.

I've done a few food tours in the USA now and this one was -okay- overall (in comparison). Portions were a little much at each restaurant. By the end of the food tour we were a little over-stuffed. Many of my party didn't actually finish everything we had at each location. All of the food however, was delicious! Our guide... More

I booked the Downtown Food Tour at the beginning of November, as a birthday present for my husband. As of today, Six Taste has cancelled our tour twice. This company, from my experience, appears to be extremely unreliable, and I'll be receiving a full refund for our tickets.

Dear Desiree: In November and December, we have limited availability due to the holidays, and sincerely apologize for the technical fluke with our booking system. Your comments are important to us, so we made sure to immediately call and email you to address your concern. In our second correspondence, we offered to make appropriate arrangements to keep your tour as... More

I have lived in Los Angeles for many years, however this tour introduced me to the fascinating and historically-rich area of downtown Los Angeles in a fun and informative way. There were restaurants and places I did not know existed! Carolyn was a great tour guide, and shepherded 16 very diverse people around the area. Almost all were coupled up,... More

Even if you live in Downtown LA, you'll enjoy this tour. We came from Alaska but there were several people from LA, including ones who lived in the area who kept commenting about how they'd walk by these little gems but hadn't tried them. The food was simply wonderful. Our guide Carolyn was very knowledgeable and personable. It is a... More

A short explanation of the different foods in Korea town. Fun to talk with the group as we taste new foods.

We absolutely LOVED our tour! It is the perfect mix of history, architecture and food - we are hoping to do several of the other tours they offer! The best part about a food tour is that it doesn't feel so "touristy" - you get the feeling that you are exploring as a local. Our guide, Carolyn, was so knowledgeable... More

My sister and I went on the Arts District tour for my birthday. All of the food was awesome, but my favorite part the chocolate at Mast. Also, Brian was awesome! Definitely knows his stuff and he's easy to talk to.

I'm so glad we decided to do this. Not only were the restaurant selections varied, everything was delicious and nicely presented. The unexpected bonus was learning a lot about the fascinating history of downtown LA. I would definitely recommend it. If you have mobility issues, be sure to let them know ahead of time.

Staying in Hollywood

Neighbourhood Profile
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
