Our tour guide was very young, but well informed on the studio history and techniques of filming. I would have liked to see more about movies, so when they say they tailor the tour to your likes, they don't really. It's more about what areas are available to see that day. However, we did learn about filming and set design... More

We picked this tour because of the authenticity about it. It's not a theme park but a working studio. We did the 'ordinary' tour. Booked in advance but felt you could just turn up. Our tour was just the two of us! Michael our guide was great. He was enthusiastic and excited. I loved the way he blended in photographs... More

In fairness we have not done any other studio tours so can't compare. Our group was small and our guide informative. We learnt some early history and was intrigued by the Luicille Ball link. Sorry but not that interested in any recent TV shows but certainly interested in movie history. Found the tour lacking in this regard and expected more... More

Being that we have already experienced the studio tours at Warner Brothers and Universal, we saved the best for last. Our magical day started at 9:30 AM when we met our amazing tour guide, who escorted us to our cart to begin our intimate tour. FYI, the VIP tour is limited to eight people in order to maximize the experience.... More

I wasn't impressed. Tour was nice: saw interesting sets and props, but I didn't get a sense of what it's like to edit a movie or add sounds. Oh well.

The studio tour is great and if you are really into movies an TV this is the one for you. The tour has more of a working feel to it and probably not as commercial as Warner Bros. The guide was great and had experience working on shows so could tell you much more about what goes on.

It was a huge gathering with business friends...we actually reserved the whole place for the conference attendees over 5000 people! The place is artistic with lots of studios to check and take good photos.

We had a studio tour today and I have to say, we weren't disappointed. We got there 30 minutes early, and getting all booked in was a breeze. We then went into a waiting room for a short while until our tour time came around. At 1.30pm (as promised) we were greeted by Lauren. From the get go she was... More

Having previously taken both the Universal and Warner tours, we felt it was time to see "inside" Paramount and the After Dark tour had us hooked! A warm welcome from staff in a purpose-built facility, with a glass of Champagne, bottle of water and personalised lanyard was just the beginning!! From the top, our Guide Chris, was very warm, friendly... More

Staying in Hollywood

Neighbourhood Profile
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
