Rather than do I tour, I watched a movie (Bladerunner 2049) in the Imax theatre. Huge screen and awesome sound system in this quaint historic theatre. Ideal for the particular film (which had awesome cinematography and sound track). Perhaps not as pretty as the El...More

It was good to see the hand / foot prints of movie stars in the historic location. The lookalike celebrities were either fantastic (Tom Cruise from top gun / Samuel L Jackson from reservoir dogs) or awful (there were some drunk / very fat superheroes)....More

Even though there are many, many, many tourists around, especially on the forecourt of the theatre, it is great fun when you read the names and get an idea about the size of the stars' hands and feet. We would recommend that place, but admit...More

Was with a Conference across the road and was able to pop over and see real history. Watch out for the silly people who want a photo - and money

When we first arrived on Hollywood Blvd. we went straight to the theater. My gosh it was crowded already at 9:00 AM. We purchased a $2 map of all the hand prints so the wife could take picture after picture. Between all of the other...More

We had so much fun visiting the famous Chinese Theatre and putting our hands and feet in the same place as the stars!

Tour was not very good. Getting to see the inside was interesting. Felt we were being rushed through rather then getting to enjoy the experience. This is a one and done type of tour.

This location suffers from the same problem as the rest of Hollywood Blvd namely beggars, junkies and scammers. There seems Lille control over their activities and the harassment of tourists. My advice is get in early before they arrive in numbers and don't hag around,...More

Not sure about booking in advance, but I purchased two tickets at the last minute just outside the theatre, there was no line up. My understanding is the tours run all day, everyday. It's not a long tour.
