We had a lovely tasting on a Saturday. The Pinot Noirs are well made and balanced, they are not heavy in mouthfeel like other California AVA's offer. Expect a $15 tasting fee which may be waived with the purchase of wine. The staff is very attentive and knowledgeable. You can bring food to enjoy on the patio with great views.... More

A very pleasant drive through the Santa Rita Hills AVA. The tasting room is set next to the vineyard with large picture windows and plenty of outdoor seating on a patio. It is $15 for the regular red flight and is about five or six tastes. \ Like most tasting rooms, it is best to go on an off time,... More

Great wines, comfortable tasting room and wonderful and informative staff. I did not get to tour the winery, but have heard it's worth while.

We enjoyed our trip here so much. Chad, the owner, was amazingly informative and beyond kind to a curious non drinker. Beautiful scenery, a gorgeous vineyard, and excellent company. I could not have enjoyed the day more. Highly recommended.

My wife & I spent a long weekend in Santa Barbara recently & decided to go wine tasting on Saturday. I searched for wineries and Melville Winery came up with excellent reviews. We were not disappointed. Beautiful tasting room & the person serving us, Bill, was fantastic. Explained everything so I could understand & was very funny. I thought the... More

We visited on a Saturday afternoon in October. They weren't super busy so the service was good. We took a tour of the vineyard and did the wine tasting. Our favorites were the Pinot noir and Syrah. Our guide/server was knowledgeable and friendly. There was only one other couple on our tour so we were able to ask lots of... More

This winery is a great one to visit. Alvin behind the counter is awesome and most helpful. Wonderful drinking wines and this is the only winery that we go to every year when we visit. Have been back for 10 years straight.

I will start by saying the grounds are beautiful! We enjoyed being outside in the vineyards and loved the views until the wind picked up. We had a group of 20 that went to wine taste and sat outside in the grass to start. There was no weather back up for us to move too so we had to stay... More

At 1st we were not sure. Once we got there it was amazing. Never judge a book by its cover.. The set up of the vinyard grounds is beautiful. No food but you can take for lunch and snack and have it on the picnic tables right next to the vinyard.. that view doesn't get any better....
