Lake Kaweah was an unexpected find while on a road trip, but it is a beautiful spot to build in. There are lots of water sports and walks you can add on if you have time, but it is well worth a stop.

Best time to go is after the middle of the summer when the water starts dropping and the natural pools are just right. Water gets colder as you get closer to the mouth of the river.
