A garbage dump
Jun 2021
Riddled with broken glass, trash, clothing emty cans and anything else you can think of. Come with plenty of garbage to pick up the mess people leave behind. There are no trash receptacles and it appears no one is policing the area.
Such a beautiful lake surround with the most beautiful scenery to be destroyed with lazy people. I thought California was all about the environment and saving the world but is sure doesn't look like it

What is this freak of nature?
Oct 2019 • Couples
The lake was beautiful when we were there as others have shown but what the hell is the blobs surrounding the shores of the lake? A local fisherman told my boyfriend it was sap, there’s not a single tree in sight that was around the waters shoreline- what makes it clump and it’s definitely in the top 3 weirdest things I’ve ever seen look closely at the pic their all along the banks

Sweet without any development lake at the entrance to the sequoia national park
Jun 2019 • Friends
Depending on the time of year this lake has a variety of landscapes. The water eventually feeds into all of the San Joaquin Valley crops… But for the first half of the summer the lake fills from the snow melt… The last half of the year the water recedes and it is mostly meadows and grasslands . Beautiful sunsets, houseboats, fishing, swimming, jet skis etc, fishing too ( get a license or get a ticket )

Low water
Oct 2018 • Couples
The pics are not what we saw. Water levels are not near that high. Not impressed at all. I guess in the spring it is probably better.

Would have loved to see this lake as in the picture
Nov 2018
We traveled in the height of the Camp Fire in Paradise there for everything was very smokey. The lake was very low as it is used for irrigation however the surrounding areas were very clean and you could see that it would be a great place in the summer. We saw the marina and all the boats tied up so I am sure this is a popular place in the summer.

Marina Boat rental
Jul 2018 • Family
Overall the Lake was beautiful , But when we ran into trouble in the middle of the lake there is no way to call for help . There is no Phone service and no way to reach the marina office. Only Sheriffs on duty and when the sheriff came and broke the anchor the Marina was very rude to us. So better hope you don't have a heart attack out there because your screwed .

Absolutely gorgeous
Jun 2018 • Couples
My husband and I drove past this when coming up from LA and to stay in Three Rivers for a night while visiting Sequoia NAtional Park. When we got to our hotel and we realized it was almost 100 degrees outside, we knew that this is how we were going to spend the next few hours of our afternoon. We put on our bathing suits and jumped in the car. It was late afternoon on a Tuesday so the northern most part of the late was open. The lake was fairly full but you could see through the water where the parking lot extends to when there is less water in the lake. We didn’t have trouble parking even though there were not that many spaces not covered by water. It only cost $5 to park and you can stay for as long as you’d like. People had chairs and tent coverings set up and it seemed fine to bring food and drinks into the area. The water was amazingly refreshing and felt wonderful on this extremely hot day. We stayed for a couple of hours and had just the best time. It was not in our plan of things to do in the area but we were so overjoyed to have found it. You get to swim and relax in this gorgeous lake surrounded by trees and mountains. It was stunningly beautiful. Such a highlight on our trip!

A DAY OUT AT KAWEAH LAKE AND MARINA!
Jan 2018 • Couples
When one wants an enjoyable day out that is of little or no cost, the Kaweah Lake area including the dam and marina is most important to visit. Whether one wants to rent a boat to tour the lake area, go fishing on the banks, or visit the marina itself, it is guaranteed to be a wonderful experience! If exercise is something you want to do, then park your vehicle at the upper parking lot and walk down to where you can fish or tour. Touring the marina proper and seeing what houseboats are for sale was quite an experience.
