Not your usual tourist activity, but a quirky attraction in the Redwoods. A good stop off point for a break and food if you are driving either direction on the West Coast Highway 1. Plenty of tourists in the peak season, so give yourself plenty of time. Definitely worth a stop here and photo opportunity at the tree.

The whole family loved this short stop in our drive north through the Redwoods. Amazing to see such a large tree, and to drive through it! The gift shop has a free map of the Avenue of the Giants, which proved handy as we continued on our way.

A great experience , though it was a short trip , yet , the importance of the age of the tree and the way it is still going on strong, makes us wonder

I missed all of the “drive your car through a tree” spots driving south, but we stopped at this one in Leggett because of an ad on the roadside. We were not disappointed. This one was established in 1922, and we had a lot of fun taking pictures and going through the gift shop. This attraction is done very well.... More

A fun experience for everyone! Located just off the 101 with easy access. $5 per vehicle. There is also a gift shop, restrooms, and picknick tables. Unfortunately my vehicle was 1in too tall.

Is it silly to pay $5 for driving through a tree? Decide yourself. Make sure to clap in your mirrors, take lots of pictures and enjoy. I lked it!

The Chandlier tree is in the first large redwood grove north of San Francisco on the PCH. We made it through in a full size Lexus sedan with the side mirrors extended. Been there, done that!

Nice place to visit - cost five dollars to drive through a huge tree. Kids loved it. Our Mazda mini-van just made it through with side mirrors pulled in!! Rainy day but didn't stop us from having some fun. Road in is very bumpy mostly due to high rainfall area was having.

Chandelier Tree in Leggett is really cool attraction. It's a mixture of nature and good old roadside attraction. It's fun!
