While far from the most beautiful of the 395 corridor lakes, Lundy Lake is still worth the drive. There is a quaint store at the back of the road too.

Took a side trip to Lundy Lake. I have heard from many what great fishing there is at Lundy. The camp grounds were really not condusive for a motorhome but a small trailer or camper, Great! There is also a small lodge their with cabins.

We hiked past ponds and along a creek. Very beautiful going up the canyon. The trailhead is close to Lee Vining.

Lundy canyon is drop dead gorgeous. I have gone on both a bird walk and a history walk here in the past month, and both were very well done, both are offered by a combo of the state park service and the Mono Lake Committee....More

This is a beautiful canyon but recreation sites are heavily used, poorly maintained with no investment in decades by neither the USFS, Mono County and the private resort owners. There is a lot of human feces/TP flowers and dog feces problem along the south side...More

This lake sits in a glacial canyon and is beautiful no matter what time of year. The road in can be problematic during the winter so check ahead. The lakes level is determined by the amount of winter snow and the demands of LADWP. So...More

This is more of a big pond than a lake, but it is a great place to fish. We did really well last year, not so much this year. People were catching fish to the right and left of us, but we only got one....More

Incredible hike into a steep canyon. Color in the rocks, colors in the trees, beaver ponds, waterfalls in the stream running down the middle of the canyon, cascades running down the canyon walls, it was like a never ending series of postcard pictures.

We went here looking for fall color based on recommendations. The color was okay but we were a little early. We did not do any hiking in the area as we were looking for photographic opportunities. It was a quite busy place on a sunny...More
