Great beach! It was clean and not as busy as some of the other beaches we saw . The caves were beautiful & it was a nice walk. There isn’t really 1000 steps but I wouldn’t suggest people with limitations with these sort of things...More

Lovely and clean beach and the cave was fun to explore. Shower and toilet facilities on site which were handy given the steps back up, but take your own food if you plan to stay awhile. This was a really beautiful spot, well worth the...More

The .1,000 steps is a misnomer, since it's only about 300 or so steps, but it's steep and will take your breath away if you are out of shape. There is a cave at the southern tip of the Beach and it's well worth the...More

My husband took me here . I loved it. Be prepared to walk down a bunch of flights of stairs then to walk back up after you enjoy your time at the beach. This was one of my bucket list for California. It is absolutely...More

I absolutely loved the afternoon I spent on 1000 steps beach. As other reviewers have said, it’s definitely not 1000 steps but actually about 300. While it’s not too strenuous - even those in decent shape would be able to handle it - it definitely...More

Don't let the name of the beach fool you, anyone who can walk a mile can climb this set of stairs. This is a fun set of stairs to walk or run and it leads to a pretty beach. I gave it 4 stars because...More

Thank you TripAdvisor for having the best directions. Head down Pacific to 9th Avenue. Turn up the hill(away from the ocean) and park on the street. Walk across Pacific to find the steps going down to the beach! There is a restroom at the bottom...More

If you are up to the stairs, it is an awesome location to go to. Extremely secluded, great sand, an area to jump if you are up to it ( I wasn't) and some great exploring if the tides are right.

1000 Beach was a little hard to find, but once found it was well worth it! There are 231 steps (my sons counted) going down to the beach, and once on the beach it was so peaceful. We were there early in the morning and...More
