You can "power walk" around the reservoir, have a picnic with family and friends, and there is a playground for children. That's fine and thousands do. But, it could be much more. The reservoir discourages and prohibits music in the park, except for a very few...More

On a beautiful day in Autumn, our family visited the Lafayette Reservoir and spent a little time at the children's playground area, which I definitely recommend. Allow about 45 min to an hour to spend here, where kids can have a blast. A gorgeous lake...More

Made a stop here after a long day of travel. Despite having to pay for parking, I quickly fell in love with the area. Surrounding the expansive reservoir are loads of dirt trails that allow you to get lost in the wilderness for a while....More

I don’t know for sure but I have seen a lot of people fishing and I have seen trucks stocking the reservoir with fish numerous times. I hope this helps.
