This spaciously contrived jewel has it all. Must be a dozen restaurants with an old world feel. That's because it is. The way we used to be. I am told frequent exhibits, fairs and musical events add to the evening and weekend charm. I can only tell you to arrive early when parking isn't at a premium. In the morning,... More

Not much to see. Better shopping in Paseo Palm Desert and then an interesting visit to The Living Desert

Could not find anything of particular interest to do or see in OldTown. It is just a short street with new buildings designed to look older...a couple of shops and restaurants. We spent about 10 minutes there. Not worth your time.

Great place to wander. Some good retailers with nice merchandise, at good prices. Clothing, hair and nail salons and olive oil/coffee shops and wine bars round out the offerings. The best is the nitrogen ice cream parlor. Oh my! So good and creamy.

It's not really an old town and is not worth your time as a destination. Some developer made a plaza to look old. A couple of clothing shops that cater to seniors not younger people. Coffee shop was great. Wouldn't go there again.

La Quinta is one of the nicest communities in the valley. Many sites and events to peek the interest of the "first-timer" and keep the returning folks happy. If in The area, stop for lunch/dinner or just a "walkabout".

Woth a visit to Old Town La Quinta while in the Coachella Valley. Every second Saturday they have Art Under the Umbrellas which fetures local artists, jewellers, etc. An organic food market is held on Sundays. Great coffee shop, various restaurants and clothing stores.

Has seen better days. Lots of eateries and a few shops. Most overprices and some having sales. One shop owner asked about where he could move his shop to Austin since I'm from Texas. Restaurants saw more business.
