If you are in the San Diego area a trip to see this cross (that has caused a lot of contention and has been taken to court many times) is worth stopping to see. It's the 3rd cross that has been placed here and the views out over the city and towards the ocean are very nice. It sits off... More

Our tour group ventured to this site, and we stayed about 15 minutes, which was plenty. It was worth the trip. Too many to count plaques, include veterans, famous, or not. Honorary Veteran: BOB HOPE has a plaque, look for it, as well as a few other well known people. Great views of San Diego, harbor, sea, beaches, costal, and... More

I visited here with my friends that have recently moved to live in San Diego, the view from the top looking out at the whole of San Diego was amazing, I was like a little kid and didn't know which way to look first! The area was full of families, couples old and young admiring the view! The cross at... More

Close to San Diego and a tribute to our fallen veterans. The view of San Diego is exceptional. No charge but leave a donation for the cause.

Magnificent view of San Diego. Striking view of the Cross and the American Flag. Well maintained. A very different and personal way to honor the men and women who have served this country. Anyone who has served can have their place of honor along the walls which surround the monument. A must see.

We watched the lights come on all around San Diego from the top of the mountain. Great views and a moving tribute to our veterans.

Stopped by for an hour before leaving San Diego and I'm glad I did. The views are stunning, almost 360 degrees. On a clear day you can see Mexico in the distance. The walls of the steps are inlayed with plaques of military personnel.

We didn't set out to go to Mt. Soledad, but thanks to an interesting Uber driver, we stopped on the way from San Diego to La Jolla for a quick visit. When it's clear, you can see all the way from Los Angeles to Mexico. Definitely worth a stop along the way.

Mount Soledad is simple attraction as picture shown, but it is at the top of small hill, and it has spectacular San Diego ocean and city views!
