Noticed this place completely by accident leaving La Jolla Cove. Stopped by and took several photos all around this memorial . It has a great view all around very glad we stopped by. *A couple of pokestops and this is also a gym*

One of the best views of San Diego city and the bays. Great memorial cross with lots of historical significance. The atheists have been fighting in court for 20 years to take down the cross. So far so good! A must see in San Diego

Christian or not, this is a must see monument honoring US servicemen (male and female) and the views of La Jolla are absolutely stunning. (Attraction is free)

The first and best thing to say about Mt. Soledad is that it is 822 feet above the rest of San Diego. Mt. Helix in La Mesa may be higher, but it is too far out in East County to hold the commanding coastal vistas that this elevated piece of La Jolla real estate offers. The view is spectacular in... I found it difficult to locate, yet worth the effort. The views were stunning from every angle. It's a great addition if you're visiting La Jolla Cove.

Relaxing way to enjoy scenic views and historic markers. Walk at your own pace. Plenty of places to park and drive to the overlooks if you are with someone with mobility issues.

Stumbled upon mount Soledad as we were just out driving. Decided to head up into the hills just north of pacific beach. Got about half way up and saw the sign for mount Soledad. The views from mount Soledad are breathtaking. Ocean. Mountains. Downtown San Diego. 360 degrees of picturesque perfection. Go on a clear day though!! War memorial is... More

Stopped here on a tour bus. It is a memorial for our Military men and woman, found several presidents and actors on the circular wall, well worth a visit.
