This was so much fun for all of us, but especially for our 2 year old! She liked it better than the aquarium or the zoo, since it was so hands on. Got to see crabs, anemones, lots of cool seashells, both live and dead.

This is a very unusual activity, especially enjoyed by children. The ocean offers different experiences depending upon the time and tides. .

Really pretty place to see tide pools. Didn't see many creatures that day but it was fun regardless. Wear non skid foot wear for a more enjoyable trip.

Lucky timing meant the water was receding from the weird and wonderful formations at this beach when we arrived. We saw fish, crabs, anemones, abalone, strange seaweed and more -- it was like a nature treasure hunt. BE CAREFUL: the rocks around the tide pools...More

It was just as pictured. Lots of little tide pools in rock. Not much sea life in the tide pools. The kids had fun for a little bit climbing around it.

Went with my friend, her daughter and her friend for a photoshoot for PIFA web page. They are Ms. Heiva n Mr. Heiva 2016. While they were working it with the photo shots, I was enjoying the view, the air, the sound of the ocean!

We were excited to go for shells. Our son had never gone "shelling" and was so excited to go. I'm not sure if we timed it wrong or what but the only shells we found were very little one. Like the ones snails go in....More

Formally, there is to be no removal of anything from coastal parks or properties, so no shells, rocks, sea animals (starfish, anemones, etc.). With that being said, I think there are probably small caches of memory-shells... More

There is a steep flight of concrete steps from street level to the beach. If you get there at a very low tide indeed, there will be a large expanse of shallow water (not exactly your classic tide pools) with lots of... More
