Beautiful beach!

Go towards the pier which is further to the north, that's where you can have more space with less people. Down the south of the park, people rush in since morning.

The parking can be brutal here, but worth it. A very nice, big, clean beach. There are some beach-type shops nearby. There is a facility for changing into your suit, bathroom, etc. We decided to stay in a nearby hotel and skip the parking hassle.

My son enjoyed surfing and grandson the boogie board. Beautiful beach and great life guards. I had fun watching children chasing birds. Very busy Saturday, but still super time.

The beach and town area was nice and great scenery.. My complaint is the parking or lack there of.. Really crazy having to drive around for more than 30 minutes just to find a 90 minute spot ugh

I've been to many places in my life but nothing compares to La Jolla and La Jolla Cove for sights, sounds and smells. The wildlife (and I'm not talking human) is so awesome and the fact you can get right up and swim with them is amazing to experience. I would highly recommend seeing La Jolla for yourself, you won't... More

WOW..WOW..WOW!!! Such a beautiful area and a must do as it is only a short drive away from Downtown San Diego. An amazing place to see the Sealions up close on the beach and to view them on the surrounding cliffs. A lovely area to stay with children as the beach is gorgeous and there are lots of little shops... More

The place is very nice , they keep it clean. The weather was perfect. I would definitely go back. We walked around the area more than we played by the water. The only drawback to this place is the parking. It is near hell finding a parking during the busy time.

We loved this beach. It was crowded but we were able to find an awesome parking spot. I really liked that they had many lifeguards on duty and they did a good job keeping the swimmers out of the way of surfers. It's best to set up to the south of station 32. People lounging on the beach were friendly.... More
