Seals encounter

The coast line is beautiful and it is a good spot for sunset view. There are lots of seals like everywhere. We had the closest encounter to seals ever.

I could have stayed here all day and watched the seals and sea lions on the rocks! Don't ask me much else about La Jolla, because all I wanted to do was watch the sea lions and their funny antics! It's such a wonderful chance to see them in their natural habitat.

We hired bikes at pacific beach and did the 40 min coastal ride. Once here we saw about 60 seals on the beach. It was very easy to sit here for a while and watch them enter and exit the water.

Loved everything about this area. Beautiful views and easily walkable. We really enjoyed the different styles of architecture.

Once you have found a parking spot, walk down to the beach and spend some time watching the ever present seals. Remember that this was their home before we got here so don't disturb them or feed them. The pleasure is in watching them interact with each other.

Just down the pathway from the Children's Pool is La Jolla Cove. After you visit the seals, walk down the road to the cove. You can get up close and personal with the Sea Lions, but I would not recommend touching them. Play on the rocks and take awesome up close pictures of the critters in their natural habitat.

Must go. Don't come to San Diego and not see this. You really won't see anything like it unless you happen to live on the ocean in Mexico. It is beautiful.

I was disappointed in the Cove. To start people should not approach the seals as close as it is aloud. Dozens of people around 10 seals is not healthy for the sea creatures. Also dogs are aloud but nowhere is dog water fountains or dog pup bags. No bags in California? Where in Washington there are bag dispensers every few... More

A beautiful, but likely crowded, place to walk along the cliffs and enjoy the views. Sea lions and/or seals are often swimming below, and people are out enjoying various water sports in the ocean. If you are visiting San Diego, this is one of the "must do" things!
