Very nice place to see wild sea lions

The scenery is beautiful at this dramatic coastline. You'll see sea lions at a very short distance and lots of sea birds. I can highly recommend a visit

This would get 5 stars if it weren't for the scads and scads of people who are always there making it really difficult to have a peaceful moment. Its a beautiful place indeed, but there are just too many darn people.

We went there to spend just an hour. But we returned after three hours. We get to take pictures of sea animals and seals. Be careful while bringing kids here. At our visit, the white birds that fly very close to us grabbed a candy from a 3yr old kid and the kid was terrified. Overall a great place. Waves... More

everything was great, just love everthingVery nice, clean, modern hotel. Has the vibe of a happening downtown chic hotel, but is actually a laid back, fun to be at place to stay. The staff was really nice and helpful, and would take care of whatever you needed with a smile

We love the Cove at La Jolla. My husband is a photographer so the photo ops are awesome. Be sure to view the harbor seal beach (Casa Beach), especially during pupping season from December 15 through May 15, when you can view from above the new moms and their pups. A precious experience protected by the City of San Diego,... More

We spent an evening at La Jolla exploring the tide pools, enjoying the sunset and watching the seals. Our kids just loved it there! There was a wedding happening on the beach and we saw a couple who had just gotten engaged. There is always something to see and of course playing on the beach was a highlight. The week... More

Such a perfect place for a picnic or to just hang out on a nice sunny day. You can rent kayaks and paddle along the cove to see leopard sharks, seals, and a whole bunch of other marine life. When the weather is warm (which is most of the year), snorkeling is also wonderful. Great running/walking/bike path that follows the... More

The seals were so much fun to watch and you can get very close. Pelicans and black cormorants as well. Ate at a yummy Italian restaurant in town.

One of the most beautiful spots in the world! There's a reason La Jolla has been called the "Western Riviera" and if you visit the cove, you will understand why. Whenever we have visitors from out of the area, we always insist on taking them here for a walk along the cove. Kids love it because they can watch the... More
