Enjoyed walking the area after lunch. Quite a few interesting shops and small galleries. Lots of dining options. Parking is difficult but can be found. Valet parking available for a price, of course.

Prospect Street is where Hotel La Valencia is located. There are about 15 Restaurants ,many Art Galleries and Shops. It is fun to walk . If you are lucky to be there when they have their Art/Wine festivities it is great. Girard St also has good eateries and many shops,Banks etc.

Beautiful shops, boutiques, galleries, and all kinds of good wholesome eateries make this area worth a visit. Giffard's Gourmet Deli is one of the best eating experiences for me - a self-confessed "Foodie"!

As a local, I sometimes envy the excitement and awe that tourists get to experience when they visit La Jolla. So I sometimes just become one of them and stroll down Prospect and sip on some coffee and people watch and let it all sink in. It is a beautiful stroll with every manner of taste to appeal to. Girard Avenue and Prospect Street is an area that a lot of twenty- and thirty-somethings like to hang out in on Friday and Saturday evenings. It's a nice place to stroll around and they have some wonderful restaurants there, but I find the food to be rather pricey . You are definitely paying for the location!

Bought some wonderful Lapiz cameo earrings and a lovely pottery bowl from Spain at the Ark Antique store (devoted to supporting animal rescue organizations). Then enjoyed a great vegan lunch at Trilogy on top of a bldg watching yoga people hanging from colorful clothes

Super Good Will store with very reasonably priced items. Lots of high end stores and a large supermarket which is open 24 hours a day. There is no parking restrictions on Girard Avenue, Prospect Street and nearby streets after 6pm. Between the hours of 8am and 6pm parking times vary from 15 minutes all the way to 3 hours. We... This popular La Jolla area is a very walkable. Every thing from art galleries, high end men's and women's fashion, souvenirs, burger joints, French cuisine, you name it you will probably find it. I like to grab a cup of coffee and sit on the patio with my dogs and people watch, that's fun too. Also a great car city... More
