Although almost everywhere there are signs restricting beach access to pets, we saw dogs everywhere! Including our own! Given the holiday weekend, maybe they weren’t enforcing that rule. There are some dog friendly beaches off of Lakeshore Blvd in Incline.

This was a beautiful area one of many must stops around the lake. You get a different feel here with the sandy shore line & waves it feels exactly like a beach.

Beautiful area to watch the sunset. Some areas have parks for small children with play sets. Most areas have a small pay for parking.

Continue to love Kings beach for family fun. We have enjoyed swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking, "picnic"ing and simply reading in the sun.

Kids loved playing in the sand. The beach was narrow and crowded, but we didn't mind that too much. Water was of course great,. . but we did see some trash strewn around :(

The water front has been totally remodelled and is quite nice. You can play in the water, sit by the beach, eat at a table, or let the kids play in the playground.

It was hard to find parking on the August Saturday we visited. There is pay parking ($10) close to the beach or you can park a ways off for free. There were public bathrooms, but the lines were very long. Dogs are not allowed on...More

Bike trails are everywhere. Lots of ski slopes turn into mountain bike trails in the summer with the ski lifts active. Northstar resort does this.
