The Kyushu National Museum (Kyuhaku) is supposedly one of the largest museums in Japan. We were impressed with the massive architecture design of the building as well as the long (& colourful) escalator that leads to the entrance of the museum. The exhibits gives us...More

For Japanese this is important but I found it historical. An hour is enough to get it. The building is impressive and the escalator is impressive.

This is a nice visit away from the super touristy Dazaifu shopping trip. I was pleasantly surprised that the museum provided free English audio guide for me to listen to as I pass from artifact to artifact. Definitely worth a visit!
