Visited this place last June 2018. A Famous tourist attraction at noboribetsu area. Its a worth to visit and take photo. Better to visit during the day, because at night nearby Hell Valley area is very quite.

Nothing much to see as many trails were closed in winter. Didn't get to see the ponds and foot bath area.

This place is pretty much up a slope. Had to climb up. The stairs and steps are really slippery in the winter so have to be careful. I saw alot of people slip. Quite alot of trails are closed during the winter. Free entrance too!

It was a good thing we stayed very near else a trip here might have been a wasted effort to come as only 1 trail was opened with the rest I’m guessing iced up. Even the trail that was open was quite inaccessible unless you...More

This area has a parking lot at the entrance and you can walk the easy way or the longer route. If you are lazy, the moment you enter, they have multiple viewing spots that are just there. This place is suitable for old people as...More

Did a quick photo stop here but didn't think it was worth spending more than an hour unless you are keen to trek around hell valley. A convenient break point between Sapporo and Lake Toya if you are not planning to stay overnight in Noboribetsu.

We visited in December at dusk - the cold air and snow on the ground gave the area a wonderful atmospheric feel. The steps that lead down to the valley were, however, quite icy and treacherous on the day we were there. I would have...More

Nice scenery. Pathway is slippery during winter. Walk with caution. Many hiking routes are close during winter.

A slow long walk along the valley is so rejuvinating. Beware of the slippery icy footpath during winter season.

There was a slight snow fall when we were here. The valley was partially covered in snow and it was quite a breathtaking sight! Took a lot of pics and enjoyed the walk thoroughly!

It's less than a km and the walk is through the shopping street. It probably take 15 min.

I stayed at Muroran and drove there. I think it is a better option. Your length of stay at Noboribetsu, Lake Toya and Muroran become very flexible.
