The facility was famous for its service as the day onsen. It can be reached by bus both from Karuizawa station and Nakakaruizawa station. The service was wonderful with a little higher fee than other onsen. It offered both indoor and outdoor pools. We brought...More

There were not many other people there when we visited, so it was even more relaxing. Highly recommend stopping here if you are in the area. My favorite was the outdoor pool - beautiful during sakura season.

The room rate at the hotel is ridiculously high, but they offer locals a 50% off card for the onsen! This is one of the nicest well constructed onsens I have come across, and it just happens to be about the closest to where I...More

Was an excellent place to go during winter. We stayed at the Hoshinoya hotel near by the onsen and we got a car to the onsen since it was -11 degrees, but afterwards we were warm from the onsen and didn't need a ride back,

Bath in Onsen after a nice lunch in the restaurant next to it, the Onsen is probably one of the cleanest and with nice environment. Worth to spend an hour to relax, and try to drink some Onsen.

If you like a hot spring bath and a sauna, this place is wonderful. The challenge is to find a local person to go with. We are so relaxed that we can hardly walk. Great to go after a day of shopping

There was one indoor bath and one outdoor bath, with a locker room but no rest area/cafes/etc. Overall it was nice, but way too expensive (¥1300) when comparing it to the baths/facilities. The day before I went to a cheaper place up north in Kusatsu...More

A large, modern, clean "public bath" with an outdoor rotemburo. There's even a sauna and cold plunge pool. Many or most public baths in Japan are gloomy, damp, moldy and tired looking, well past their prime. Not this one. It is part of the Hoshino...More

It was snowing when we went here and was a great day for onsen. It is not just the onsen but the surrounding area that gets you excited going and be delighted with the indoor and outdoor spa, and the sauna. Warning that the place...More
