This is a nice park by the river with a small children’s play area. There are lots of benches along the river front and lots of picnic tables so it is a good place to relax and have lunch.

The river runs alongside the park and there are benches to sit and relax or have a picnic. There are many squirrels in the park so be prepared to be pestered for food.

I have loved this park for over 30 years. It is so special to me and my husband that we got married there 28 years ago. We now take our granddaughters there. We love the park, and the picnic areas and fishing there.

Enjoyed walking along the river. Nice path with lots of places to sit. Fun to watch kayakers navigate the rapids. Playground for the kids and fairly clean restrooms too! Tables for picnicking throughout the park.

This tree-shaded park is right in Kernville, and borders the Kern River, which has water in it all the time and kyakers in it some of the time. There are numerous picnic tables, a few barbeques, a basketball court, and (especially useful) free public washrooms....More

Riverside Park is adjacent to Kernville, and is a marvelous oasis in summer, a pleasing stroll in winter. There are well-maintained restrooms and children's play equipment, tables and benches and, of course, the Kern River. Fishing is better up river, and there is only one...More
