We drove over to Imperial Beach after visiting Coronado Island. Very nice pier and little boardwalk area. A nice town! We did not walk the beach but it looked peaceful.

There wasn't much to do but the view was wonderful. Maybe do a little more for those that go there. Lots of fishermen. Walked around the end which was filthy lots of fish bait on the walk and seemed very unsanitary.

My husband and I visited Imperial beach and the pier recently, and it is a lovely place to visit. The parking situation is rough, the available parking was full, so we ended up parking rather far away on the street, which was unmetered and free....More

Our first hour on Imperial Beach we walked the pier and saw dolphins, then saw a fisherman pull a stingray out of the water. Everyone on the pier watched this endeavor for about 45 minutes...fascinating! We ate fish tacos at The Tin Fish and they...More

We came here right before sunset. No one in the water = I hear that the Tiajuana River with sewage drains into the ocean, so that is probably why. There are local bars and eateries close to the pier. It was easy to find parking...More

The pier is a wooden plank type pier with a restaurant at the end. It is a great place to fish from or just stroll out on and watch the surfers. Great place to see the sun set from as well. I always find it...More

Take a walk on the pier at sunset and get a beautiful picture. You can see Point Loma and Downtown San Diego.

How special. A nice walk. Wonderful way of getting past the surf; of passing people who are fishing off the dock. There's even a restaurant at the end of the pier.

Spent parts of 2 days at at pier and walking on beach. Don't get to see much beach sand or ocean in Arizona, so always a pleasure when I do. Pier is clean, lots of locals fishing off the pier. Lifeguards and sheriff both patrol...More

I was there in April. I didn't see any signs regarding unsafe waters. I did see plenty of folks fishing off of the pier, and a lot of surfers in the ocean.

Unbearable no.... mildly uncomfortable sometimes. Open a window & it's usually fine... Our family swim all the time. Years ago it was pretty polluted & they have had a couple 'mid-haps' this year but were cleaned up real... More
