My husband and I hiked this trail May long weekend and loved it. It took us 4.5 hours start to finish with many stops along the way for pics and to just enjoy the beautiful scenery and waterfalls. 2200 man made stairs sounds very intimidating...More

We have been on Newfoundland for over two months, hiking about 5 days a week. This hike was one of the more exhausting hikes we have taken so far, but totally worth it. The trail is maintained by volunteers and they do a great job....More

What an amazing trail! The Alexander Murray trail is a must-see. It’s extremely challenging and absolutely breathtaking. It’s a very strenuous hike with lots of stairs and close edges, so not a great walk for young children. There are plenty places to sit and have...More

2'200 steps climbing up and down the Haypook Summit. You wonder on whether you will make it. But it is more than worth the effort: Gorgeous scenery, breathtaking view, stunningly beautiful waterfalls. We will remember it for years to come.

While the 9 km round trip and 2200 stairs sound overwhelming, it was the highlight of our 3-week trip to Newfoundland. Three gushing waterfalls, an awesome canyon, a great view from the top, through mud and snow, we soon forgot how far we had walked...More

This trail is absolutely breath taking, and wonderfully kept up with numerous benches for breaks after all those stairs and distance! Directions and signage are generally easy to understand, this trail is one memory I will never forget. Highly recommend to anyone :)

Walked this trail yesterday and really enjoyed it. The stairs were hard, but it's totally worth it. Honestly the hardest part was heading back down from the summit - it's hard to leave that view behind. Loved all the sights and listening to the waterfalls...More

Awesome hike! Beautiful views. This hike has lots of stairs. Not for the faint of heart, but worth every step! :)
