David Stare founded Dry Creek Vineyard in 1972. Winemaking emphasis is on grapes from select Sonoma County vineyards, chosen for quality and character. Fume Blanc, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Zinfandel, Dry Chenin Blanc, Reserve Chardonnay and Meritage are produced. Dry Creek has received over 1,000 medals for wines in 40 years.

We scheduled a private tasting tour at Dry Creek Vineyard. We learned a lot about their efforts to be sustainable and how their vineyard came to be - quite interesting.

Great wine tasting. The staff here go out of their way to make it special! Darren even made a reservation for us for a 2 for 1 tasting at another winery when he heard me say that I am more into Chardonnays!
