This was our first visit, a recommendation from another winery that knew we enjoyed Pinot Noir. What a great recommendation! We enjoyed the wines very much and enjoyed talking with the staff. It was a very wet day although I saw tables outside that would be fun to picnic at during a nice day. We ended up buying Zin and... More

I love the wineries on Westside Rd and this is a must. Bacigalupi gained recognition during the 1976 Paris tasting when the 1973 Napa Valley Chardonnay from Château Montelena (made with 40% of the Bacigalupi fruit) triumphed over many acclaimed French wines. This event was the turning point in America’s global wine image. It's a small, quaint tasting room and... More

This winery is amazing. They have such great history in the area, dating back generations and to the all important Paris judgement. The Bacigalupi family are so sweet and accomodating. This is one of my favorite Chardonnay in the area. I also love the Zinfandel which is fairly unique in being a Russian River Zinfandel instead of dry creek, so... More

Recommended by one of the larger wineries in our search for great Chardonnay in the RRV we gladly stopped by for a visit. If you are looking for the "grass roots" family operated vineyard then stop at Bacigalupi while you're in the RRV. We were greeted by the owners dog and escorted by the aging German Shorthair Pointer into the... More

Tiny tasting room staffed by friendly mother and daughter. Zin and Petite Sirah matched with some of the best I've had costing twice as much. Very limited production and hope they keep it that way. Already planning to order more from their website.

This was a real treat! I am a huge fan of local viticulture history, so I was so excited to hear about the Chardonnay & the judgment of Paris. The gal working was very informed and it was unique in that she is part of the Bacigalupi family. The wines were off the charts good. The have delicious chardonnay, petite... More

Located on the west side of the valley, this simple tasting room offers some great wines. Prices are up there and on par with others in the area, however their pinots are outstanding, especially their 2014 Frost Ranch Pinot. At $70 each it's a bit steep but the best Pinot we had all day among 5 wineries specializing in pinots.... More

We are members here and I can honestly say that this is my favorite winery. Small tasting room, owner operated, generations of family here. Love of the land and vine!

Bacigalupi seems a little off the radar, but is certainly worth a visit for any serious wine buffs. The vineyards have been producing great grapes for decades -- their chardonnay grapes comprised 40% of Chateau Montelena's history-making entry in the 1976 Paris Tasting (as shown in the film "Bottle Shock"). They're still making great juice -- although I generally wouldn't... More
