I have passed by this vineyard and tasting room for years. This time we decided to visit. And oh what a pleasant surprise. Ila welcomed us, and the next hour we explored their wines, and heard the history of the vineyard. Oldest vineyard, in the valley. Great wines, and not over priced. the zinfandel, was great. And in 1999 their... More

We always go to this vineyard. It has been family owned for over 100 years! It is fun to see an operational family run vineyard. Everyone is very friendly and excited to talk about their vineyard. We LOVE LOVE LOVE their petite Syrah. Take a picnic lunch buy some vine and enjoy this hospitality.

My brother-in-law really wanted to visit Foppiano during our trip to the Sonoma Valley. He was familiar with their wines and he wanted to see where they are made ... and to try some. But it was a disappointing visit, even considering that he was predisposed to like it. In the tasting room, the person serving the wines had kind... More

One of our stops on a wine tour. The Young man giving the tasting was very friendly and knew a lot about the vineyard.. I loved their port.. the tasting room was a little hot.

During our trip to Healdsburg, we almost didn't go to Foppiano because we were giving preference to smaller wineries. I'm so glad we did. Foppiano had our favorite wines of the weekend, AND the lowest prices, making it by far the best value. Their grounds are charming and very dog-friendly. I think tastings normally happen in a room next to... More

As opposed to the massive wineries surrounding it, Foppiano's has a very small tasting room but that's just right. Their wine is very good and not easy to find, so stop in here and enjoy it while you can.

After tasting light pinots all weekend and seeing 35-45 price tags I loved all the wines we tasted at Foppiano. Very drinkable right now and in a decent price range. You feel like you are back home in earlier decades at the winery.- the way they used to feel before bay area bucks starting driving everything to ostentatious and exclusive.

I love all the wines here and love that they grow right there on the land and for generations. Thanks for letting me take figs and oranges on this most recent trip. Nice comfortable tasting room, be sure to hang out on the 'deck'. Nice Pinots, Syrahs.

Don't drive the 101, but take the Old Redwood Highway and you'll pass by Foppiano on your way from Windsor to Healdsburg. Stop by and taste their exceptional wines. We where there alone and the host had ample time to tell us about the different wines and their properties.

There is a little Sonoma County winery and vinyard on the Redwood highway in Healdsburg,California producing great tasting wine since the late 1890's. Foppiano Vinyard has friendly personel, beautiful views and an awesome tasting garden. The tasting fee for the 5 varieties was only $5.00 (refunded with wine purchase). Their quality wines are very affordable and easy to drink.
