The view is breathtaking...seemed like some great waves for surfers, but quite dangerous for children to swim. There are about 200 steps/stairs to take to the bottom. Sure is nice to have the stairs to help you get down there. It seems to have two different types of sand....could just be that the ocean washes up so high, but beware... More

Roaring nature, fantastic views. Absolutely worth stopping and taking a walk. This part of the coast is as amazing as the the South.

Stopped by this beach while traveling up Hwy 1 and it was beautiful. You have to park across the street to gain access and that can be a little confusing at first. Steps down to beach were long, but easy.

This has a very nice beach, and is handily reached by an easy set of stairs. We got to spend a few minutes at the beach but could not find any place to park - the parking lot was jammed beyond full on a friday, and was on the opposite side of the road from the beach . Try as... More

you have to park in a little lot on the east side of the highway, then cross carefully. It's small and will creep up on you, on the south end of what used to be devil's slide. it's never really warm there, but still, a nice little pit stop on any drive down the coast. I believe clothing is optional... More

This was an incredible find as I was driving up the coast from Half Moon Bay to San Fransisco. I saw a glimpse of the beach from the highway and knew I had to go there immediately. I saw the parking on the other side of the highway, pulled in and went over to the beach access. The first thing... More

Amazing beach. Small, clean and very uncrowded. The access a bit difficult as you need to park the other side of the road and cross consistent traffic to access it. Amount of parking space is pretty limited. There are stairs that takes you down the beach.

This was our last stop in California, on our way to the airport to fly home to Maine. I had gotten hurt the day before so I didn't climb the stairs down to the beach, but my husband did (see pic). We loved the view and the fact that no one else was there when we visited. It was a... More

Absolutely stunning private cove just outside of San Francisco near Pacifica. Parking is limited and the steps down to the beach (and back up!) are killer, but it is gorgeous and sometimes you can actually see whales.
