Low key and accessible. We had a nice walk in the woods and learned a bit about mining. We opted not to do the guided tour as our teens were not into a house tour. It was a nice hour or two.

Empire Mine State Park is a well maintained museum. Your walking tour takes you back in time to the mining years of this area. Historic buildings give you a sense of how miners lived and worked.
