My husband and I are not advanced riders by any means but Dominic was very informative and helpful and the horses were easy to handle. I would recommend this activity for any novice that may be unsure. The ride begins in Jack London State Park. We meandered through vineyards, meadows, and redwood groves with Dominic's commentary about Jack and the... More

I'm a fairly novice horse back rider, and our guide, Dominic, was amazing at teaching me some basics and continually checking on me during our 90 minute ride!! He interjected a lot of historical and area information on our ride, and he was friendly and outgoing. I've never felt so comfortable on a trail ride and immensely enjoyed this experience!

Lovely way to see Jack London state park. My husband and I had a wonderful ride thru the park yesterday morning with Dominic. Horses (who we learned were mostly rescue horses) were well behaved and well groomed... Clearly well treated as evidenced by their shiny coats and the drink they were used to getting before we left . A thoroughly... More

My boyfriend and I decided to do this while staying in Sonoma. Our guide Dominic was really nice and helpful. We had booked the 90 minute ride and ended up on the ride for closer to two hours, and that didn't include the time getting oriented before we began the ride. It also included a free tasting at Benzinger winery... More

Our guide, Dominic, really made everyone feel welcome. His dry sense of humor throughout the ride added to the enjoyment. Horses were remarkably well fit for each rider's ability (kids on smaller horses, experienced riders on playful horses, first timers on gentle horses). We got lucky with weather on the morning ride, and that gives a good perspective on the... More

Erin is a great guide who obviously love her horses. I didn't know that these well cared for horses are all rescues who now live a really good life. The trails through parts of the park are beautiful. All in all a fantastic experience.

Erin was awesome! It was my second time ever on a horse while my friend had been riding on a few occasions. Regardless of our experience level, Erin took the time to talk about the basics of how to ride a horse and what to expect while out on the trail where there are other horses and people passing. My... A 1.5 hour ride through rolling vineyards and up into majestic redwood canopies was a fantastic way to spend an afternoon. Surrounded by views of Sonoma Valley, the bay, and even a view of Mount Diablo, this was quite a treat. Dominic (the guide) was funny and friendly and gave us a great history about Jack London (this is located... More

Erin was exceptionally helpful and professional when making long distance reservations. The stable is in Jack London State Park and the ride through the redwood forest, past the Jack London cottage and the hillside vineyards was beautiful. Dominic, owner and trip leader is a very hard working guy with a sense of humor and also a very healthy philosophy of... More

We are definitely not riders but enjoyed the views and visit to the Jack London park with our guide and look forward to taking this ride again when we visit Napa. Even if you are not an experienced rider this is the ride for you. Our guide went as slow as we wanted and never made us feel like we... More
