We enjoyed the hike to Jack London's gravesite, although it felt longer than the half mile posted on the sign. It was a moving experience to see his grave and also those of the Greenlaw children, early settlers in the area.

Yes, we are dog lovers too but California State Parks don't allow dogs on back country trails, in an effort to provide a safe haven for wildlife. Nevertheless, don't miss out, we have absolutely stunning hiking trails, so plan to leave your pooch at home...More

This park is now operated by a local non-profit with volunteers. Our tour guide was amazing. The history at this location was surprising and inspiring. It made me want to read Jack London's books again.
