Great gardens, rides and beautiful landscaping. I would say this park is geared more toward families with younger children, couples and seniors. Lots of benches where you can sit and people watch. Great play area for the kids. Beautiful landscaped gardens throughout the park. Many Waterfalls and a man made lake where you can take out duck paddle boats. During... More

This is a garden first, amusement park second, and a great place for families with children under 8 and the retired.

Gilroy Gardens is a great place to take smaller kids. Teens would be bored. The gardens are beautiful!! The rides are just right for young kids. The waterfalls are fun to get a little wet. I would suggest eating before you go, the food there is pricey and not very good. However a paddle around the little lake is a... More

Cute park for family with children under 10. Beautiful lush grounds. Just big enough to cover everything in one day.

plan on spending big dollars starting with parking at $14/car, then pay high entry prices (try to find any coupon to reduce the cost) and then add exorbitant food costs (for example $15 for a poorly made sandwich) that will make you think twice about buying any food in the park. The park is showing its age with maintenance on... More

There are some very cute attractions and rides for young children. Not a lot for anyone older than 8. Our favorite ride is the paddle boats . We attended the winter event last week, and had a great time ice skating and enjoying the Chines lanterns and decorations. The ONE thing I reallt do not appreciate about this park is... More

I have kids ranging in age from 2 to 14 and everyone found something to love here. It's a great place for families, especially those with little kids. Food is expensive, but then again it's an amusement park so I didn't really expect anything else. Lots of interesting options including artichoke dip (which was good!). We stayed through the evening... More

I visited the park with my daughter, her husband, and my twin grandchildren, 5 1/2 years old. This is an absolutely delightful park for the children's age group. They had so much fun. the big kids also had a wonderful time. The kids were also surprised to see their teacher and also a classmate, they were 78 miles from home.... More

Came here the day after thanksgiving with the family. Nice rides for young children probably from 4yrs and up. Some foods are expensive but some are reasonable just like any other amusement park. The kids in our group had a blast. It's not too crowded which was a plus!!!

We called them a week in advance and then two days in advance and then one hour in advance of the 6 to 10 PM illumination event. We called to make sure it would not be canceled, since we were driving five hours from Sacramento. We all got to the gate and were assured it would go on all night,... More
