I always enjoy going to Woodward park. There's always a quiet place to practice my photography on my step daughter or anyone willing to pose for me.

If you want some motivation, visit the Woodward Park. All ages from small kids to senior citizens doing some activity. They have plenty places to seat down and enjoy the scenery.

Spent an hour walking here, best part is a little redwood grove with a stem running through. The Japanese park-within-a-park is nice but only open very limited hours.

There have been many visits over the years! Some just drives through. Some family reunion’s. Some with kids just for the playgrounds. Church picnics. They have all been fabulous! They have all been different, and yet the same. Fun and sun and always FOOD! Shelters...More

One thing folks might not know about this park is that there is fishing during the cool parts of the year. The state Dept of Fish and Game plants trout in the lower ponds. These are the only ponds fishing is allowed though so careful...More

Woodward Park is huge--especially considering the fact it is in Fresno. If you get the chance go there. It is not a typical park, there are ponds, lakes, wildlife, great walking paths and beautiful trees. You can also find some shade for lunch or just...More

I've been going to Woodward Park as long as I can remember. I took my children there starting as babies. Back then there were only two to tiny play areas. I've enjoyed Family Reunions there, group get-togethers, family picnics, charity events, and even a few...More

My daughter needed to complete several miles of hiking for a field biology class and this was a nice place to hike. We were surprised at all the different areas within the park (lots of hiking trails, stage area, party area, kids play area, etc..)...More

The Japanese Garden is fairly romantic but only open limited hours. There is is a dog park. If you both own dogs might be a good ice breaker. If she likes to hike or bike it has trails.
