A few times a year Niles Railway offers a Wine Train. We traveled from Sunol to Niles and back again. Tasted excellent wines, learned about wines, admired beautiful scenery and met some wonderful volunteers! Very relaxing! Will definitely do this one again!!

Not too much to explore if you ever sit in old trains or particularly you are from india, then you will not like this ride too much.

The train car was covered but open. Nice ride during the summer time especially when it is sunny. I took the ride from Sunol going to Fremont. In Fremont you can get off and go to boutique shops, antique shops.

Really fun to ride on this vintage train and enjoy the scenery in beautiful Niles Canyon. The old train cars are reminiscent of the old west and the pace is slow so you can enjoy the ride.

This was a family event that I heard from my coworker (who lives 20 miles away) did and insisted on doing. I did it with my 1 year old and we were all snuggled up who fell asleep in my arms, during the hour-long (?)...More

Our family does this every year and started making this our holiday tradition. Train of lights is usually a good experience. Our family usually goes out of Niles Canyon the 4:30 pm train but with the popularity of this attraction we were only able to...More
