Spent a nice Saturday morning hiking near the lake. Not a challenging hike but the scenery was beautiful. Started to get warm in the afternoon so I would recommend early morning or late afternoons during the summer.

Spent 4th of July at Folsom Lake with about 50 thousand people and it was a great time. The park is well maintained and the staff does an exceptional job of keeping everything in order.

We had a wonderful afternoon at the lake--you could BBQ, fly a kite, take a walk, ride a bike or just sit and enjoy the view.

This is a great place for mountain biking and hiking. Bathrooms were under construction last time we were there and we had to use porta potties. Otherwise everything was great!

There is camping at Beals Point, however I am unaware about the Penninsula. Be advised that Folsom Lake has been at record lows.
