We travelled to California from New York for a family wedding. It was held at Roaring Camp. The wedding party and all the guests rode up into the redwoods after the wedding ceremony. There was an ongoing explanation by the conductor, of what we were...More

This was a really great experience. I was a little hesitant as an adult but I'm glad I did it. This was during my solo trek down the PCH. The train itself was awesome, the guide did a fantastic job explaining how it worked as...More

This is a "must do"! Many great photo ops and it left me wishing it was a longer journey. So glad we went. Be prepared to pay $10 for parking....I thought that was a little pricey.

A special treat. the train takes you up the mountain for an over an hour ride. The crew are informative and entertaining, and at the end of the ride you end up getting to experience “The Cathedral” which is a stunning natural redwood formation.

I am a huge rail fan and this is one of the best scenic train rides there is anywhere. Where else can you find historic steam trains and massive redwoods. Along with the Cog Railroad up Mt Washington in New Hampshire this is my favorite...More

One of two train rides with this company finds us going to the top of Bear Mountain. This is a narrow gauge rail which is about all of the room that you have. After many switchbacks and actual switches we reached the top. A great...More

We just paid over 80 bucks as parents of a 3-year-old to take this train ride up Bear Mountain. Our kid loves trains, but there was not much to the tour beyond a long, meandering tour guide’s tale about the origins of the term “highball”...More

Yes , I would call them as soon as possible to see what their policy is for refunds. They over sell the ride on occasion so the quicker they know, they can resell your ticket. 😊
