Loved taking this highway all through northern CA - enjoyed all the non-glamour of the old time roadside attractions and the low key vibe. We did pull out vistas and side roads to nowhere on this trip. This was so relaxing

Roads are being worked on but good. Be ready for picture taking as views happen quickly when you crest a hill for panoramas.

Definitely worth coming off Route 101 for the Redwood Highway. Lots of redwoods both sides. Definitely stop at Prairie Creek Visitors Centre and walk the trails there to get up close to these living giants.

This place is awesome. Great value in an authentic Polynesian style. They have worked very hard to provide this quality experience in food, service and environment. Ask Ken to do a magic trick. He's really quite talented. Fatima works her magic in the kitchen and...More

Gorgeous drive, and we saw elk twice! Recommend the Lady Bird Johnson picnic area/hike. So thankful that earlier generations saved these amazing trees!

Hello, In regards to people getting car sick, it is usually because the driver is driving too fast and the passengers are pulled side to side. Go slow on our windy and amazingly scenic highways, and nobody will get car sick... More

Most of it winds through hills, some of the road north of Ukiah goes through a narrow canyon and over small mountains, but is not bad at all, just pull out to let people pass on the narrow sections, and stay in the right... More
