We had seen this artist's work in Tuscany last fall at her Tarot Garden, and were completely enthralled. We were thrilled to discover this more compact collection of oversize sculptures covered in mosaics in Escondido where we were staying. Luckily we were able to be there during the limited visiting hours (Tuesday and Thursday morning). Just beautiful, fascinating, funny, quirky.... More

What a treat for this to be in Escondido. As long as we can keep the vandals and taggers at bay it will stay beautiful for all to enjoy and appreciate. It's a beautiful work of art for all to enjoy.

This is a little hidden gem. It's well worth seeking it out and getting the tour guide. The artist is well known in Europe and had an equally famous partner.

There are few opportunities to see where sculpture, fantasy and nature blend so well. Queen Calafia's Garden is all three. A hidden gem in a hidden garden by an artist little known outside the art world. You will not find an art sanctuary quite like this anywhere. Bring a picnic or just stop off on your way to the Safari... More

Others in our party had been here before and I'd peaked through the fence when it was closed a couple of years ago. It is unfortunate that it is only open a couple of days a week but totally understandable. The level of detail and amount of work that went into the park is mind boggling. Very beautiful. Makes me... If u find yourself in the area on Tuesday or Thursday, this is a cool spot to explore. It's a small circle of mosaic art sculpture that are really quite unique and worth a look. Park by the pond and walk to the back and follow the dirt road. There is a little sign with the parks name and also... More

Located inside of Kit Carson Park, Queen Califia's Magical Circle is a beautiful sculpture garden where you can bring your furry friends too! The colours are bright, the sculptures are imaginative and it's a great place to take photos. I'm glad I was able to make it on the 2nd Saturday of the month to check it out.

This place is truly a treasure! Niki de Saint Phalle's last public work before her passing. Words can't describe my adoration.

Attraction is only open a couple times a week and only a few hours at that. I was able to walk around and see some from the outside along the gates. Everything looked pretty cool. I will definitely come back when I'm in town again.

Never would have guessed that this place could be so interesting. Once you learn a little about the history of this place and the lady who made it happen, the place becomes very intriguing. Glad we looked into this attraction while we were in the area
