This is a nice beach to visit and walk on. 4th of July is fun here, too. There's also concerts in the summer. My daughter lived within walking distance so it was a great place to visit to relax.

Doheny State Beach has a wonderful visitor center and gift shop. There is so much to enjoy about this CA State Park; iconic surfing location, awesome premium sand volleyball courts, regulation horseshoe pits, the Whale Walk, a butterfly garden and great music festivals!

Daily feed there promotes lots of homeless. Doesn't seem like a safe or clean area. Ample parking. Close to the harbor.

Each Campsite has it's own raised steel circular ring with a cooking grate that takes up 1/3 on top opening. You can burn wood inside the ring for a camp fire or for cooking.
