Surfs Up at Doheny Beach...
Jul 2021
There was a lot of maintenance work being performed to brighten up the picnic areas. No dogs allowed on the beach, but they are OK in the camping/picnic areas.

Cool Beach to unwind
Apr 2021 • Couples
Me and my husband drove to Dana point to get away from work. Visited city of Dana point which is one of my favorite place in Orange County. Sitting on the sand and breathing ocean fresh air was a relaxing. Not too crowded and clean Beach. Required to pay for parking which was ok .

Best learning beginning surf anywhere on the coast. Don't need to be a local to be welcome. Rent a board or bring your own.

Great Day use area right on Beach
Oct 2020 • Family
When you enter Park and pay for Day Use on right past parking lot there is very big and nice Grassy area all for BBQ’s & Picnics and right across sidewalk close by is Beach. If you pass that area up and cross Bridge you come to RV Campground ( Reservations only) keep going past and you’ll come to a big long stretch of asphalt Parking lot where you are allowed 1 parking spot per paid vehicle entry. You can back right up to the sand/beach if you get front row as there is a back row too. You can park RV’s (25’ Max) also. There are Bathrooms & cold outside showers. It’s a nice easy way to Park your vehicle and be close to the sand/waves. Go early, early as it’s really popular especially in good weather and can fill up quickly.

The best beach park
Sep 2020
This park by far offers more facilities than any other beach parks, shaded picnic area, bbq, open picnic areas next to sand, showering, clean toilets, of course, nice beach and waves, and great sunset! Miles long bike trial along the ocean

So. Cal. beaches
Sep 2020
Is a mother nature things. It's not anything human can do. The beach is rocky and high current. Parking lot falling into the ocean in some spot. There is a nice camp ground, but there are better beaches in So. Cal. among them Huntington Beach, Laguna Beach, Coronado Beach, etc.

Family beach trip

It’s a bit rocky in places - May have to walk a bit to find a spot that where one doesn’t step on rocks. I recommend water
Shoes. Beach and water were clean and all
Visitors socially distanced without any problem.
