We stayed in Santarem and were looking for some sort of wine tasting tour in the region. On internet we couldn't easily find something like that, but after some searching we found winery Lagoalva. There were only a few reviews which were also outdated, so we were not sure if this winery still existed and if they (still) offered wine... More

We had a wonderful morning tour in this family owned Quinta. Sofia agreed in a short notice to take us on a tour to the cork harvesting woods. Spent a nice afternoon touring this winery and sampling Syrah and olive oil. Philipa showed us the winery and explained how the wine is made. Beautiful, old winery and gorgeous vineyards. Will be sure to look for this label in the US!

We reserved a one hour tour of this winery and a wine tasting. One of the head people here came in personally to provide us a private tour that lasted a few hours including all of the numerous grounds and a hourse carriage buggy ride through the grape fields.
