Book Passage for Books is like being allowed into some special inner sanctum - an exclusive secret place known to the cognoscenti. On any given day the authors are here ...sharing. Of course, there are the books - but - more importantly, there is a professional staff of librarians and writers. Knowledge is really what you get here ... and... More

My family and I were staying at the hotel right next to the book store (Marin Suites) and made 2 trips there in 3 days. It is wonderful! We love visiting independent book stores and this is one of the best we have visited (on par with Strand Books in NY). They have an incredible selection of books and the... More

If a book exists, it will be here or they will get it for you quite quickly. Loads of room to browse or take a bite or a cup of coffee and consult the knowledgeable staff. A wonderful place to explore reading with kids. Great talks by current authors. A jewel!

Regular events with the authors, writing workshops, and a good selection of new and used books. Book Passage is an institution, and largely because of their staff, they are very knowledgeable and able to make great suggestions based on what you like, or help you find that elusive book, even by special order. Currently it was under construction, but the... More

Michael Connelly was doing a book signing. Since he's my favorite author, I had to meet him. We bought his new book and had to control ourselves not to buy out the store. They have a little restaurant that makes good sandwiches and salads. The service was a bit slow, but we had time to kill before the book signing.

This is the epitome of what folks love about independent bookstores. Obviously run by book lovers with lots of special events. Garrison Keiler was soon to do a book talk. An eclectic feature is the travel accessory and clothing section with a lot of interesting and useful items.

What a cool place. They have a great selection. I went here to see Tommy Chong of all people appearing for an in store book signing. I met him and purchased his book. They do this with several authors and I believe have an event calendar online. Have fun!

In need of a bookstore with a great stock of books? How about helpful and well-read employees? I have been going to this bookstore for years. I know I can find the book I am looking for and the recommendations that they have made for me and my family have been "spot-on."

This book store is located in a shopping center where it is very easy to park. It has a new section, with all kinds of magasines from around the world, a very good selection of books and they are always willing to order your special request. They have interesting authors speak weekly. They also have a café, another annex with... More
