Nice town with a lot of restaurants and shops. My wife and I were looking for a quiet get-a-way, and found it.
We usually stay in the downtown area where everything is close. Walk to the beach, experience the over-priced drinks & chips at The Del (once!). $8 Über ride to downtown San Diego if you want more action!
Quick drive or ferry ride from downtown San Diego is Coronado Island. Walk the beach, go in the small shops, watch the dogs playing on the dog beach. Have a smoothie or a bite to it. Lovely way to spend the day.

Ride around town on the many bike lanes, check out the famous Hotel Del Coronado. There's always something happening around Coronado Island.

Crossing the big bridge from San Diego to Coronado Island is a must see place to be. It's like a very small and charming city, with it's beatiful houses colorful small shops and very cozy restaurants.

We stayed on coronado for our anniversary. The beach is wonderful. It is easy to get onto town for shopping or a meal if needed. We had a lively time
