As soon as you get over the bridge you can tell you are in a very upmarket area. The properties all looked very expensive and there are nice shops and restaurants along the main stretch. Everything was so clean and tidy. Well worth a visit.

Beautiful and clean beaches and town. Hit Orange Ave for some shopping and good eats. Very quaint and welcome feeling. We would love to live here but it's very pricey. If your looking for a lovely day, this is the place.

OK, La Jolla has the cliffs, seals and fancy shops, Pacific Beach has the roller coaster, But Coronado has golf, top rated beach, ocean and bay water sports/boating, views of the San Diego skyline and walking, biking, driving options that are always fun and beautiful. Tell your friends you went to the Island. Take the bridge or ferry and spend... More

We loved staying on this island, in fact spent less time in San Diego than expected because of it. The beach is fantastic. The down town is quaint and full of interesting shops and restaurants. Its a walkable and bikeable area and both are great options. Well worth the visit.

Just a few minutes away from Downtown and it feels very different A perfect community with lots of lovely houses. We walked along the seafront in the bright sunshine and watched the people enjoying the beach The little Main Street has a range of shops and restaurants which are worth a look They even had an ice skating rink on... Coronado Island is definetly one of my favorite places to visit in San Diego. I love the beach area but also love walking inside the grounds of the Hotel Del Coronado, Ferry Landing with beautiful views of the downtown skyline. Perfect place for pictures. If you have small children, the Ferry landing has a bay and it's very safe for... More

Cross the short bridge from San Diego and find yourself in a completely different, charming, beach island. The parks, great sand beaches, boardwalk, and epic Victorian architecture (hello Del Coronado hotel) sets this place apart from the mainland.

This island is a great place to visit. Especially on days when there are less tourists. The Hotel Del is absolutely stunning and there are plenty of other places to walk to and from and nice coffee shops and restaurants around so you can fill your day with plenty of outdoor activities. The main bar at the Del hotel is... More

My daughter and I house sat for my sister and her husband in June 2016. We loved Coronado! It's a picturesque military town with everything you need, shopping, groceries, jogging/biking trails, restaurants, movie theatre, library, sun and surf. The Hotel Del Coronado is the antique jewel of the peninsula which we casually toured several times and the beach is pristine.... More

Coronado realtors have created and perpetuated the stupid belief that the city is on an island, when it is actually on a peninsula. No, this is not just my opinion; look at a map. They go so far as to concoct specious explanations of it being an island connected to the mainland by a strip of land, which is simply... More
