Very Beautiful. Beach Volley ball places, waves, nice golden sand, not crowded (June). Of course as you face west, you have an amazing sunset

We went on a Saturday. Parking was very hard to find but with a little patience we found a spot about 2 blocks away. Beach is beautiful with soft white sparkly sand. Lots of people but it's California...glad we went.

This beach is a lot less crowded than the one more north and all the beaches in the Pacific/Ocean beach area. Nice place to relax read or take a walk.

Coronado is a great beach. Second in all San Diego to just La Jolla Shores. It is big, which is nice on the major summer holidays. It's easily 100 yards wide and over a mile long. It has a gentle slope at the water good...More

My husband and I had a lovely afternoon sitting on a park bench overlooking this beach. Street parking was easy to navigate, and we watched as families lazed about, flying kites and splashing in the surf. The view was spectacular, and something I won't soon...More

Absolutely beautiful beach; mica flakes in sand look like gold dust. A must visit! Great for trip with family or for a couple. I enjoyed it very much on my own as well.

I've never stayed at the hotels on the island but have heard they're exceptional rooms and have great service although quite expensive.

San Diego can get quite hot in April sun but I did not check out the water. I come from Australia where we get four seasons in one day and you can get sun burnt swimming in cold sea water. There is some advice under "San... More
