Great to camp by the ocean beach. There is not much in the way of facilities. The toilet block has outside showers otherwise fully self contained set up required. Water a bit chilly.

Keep in mind... This is a parking lot campground, but it is a great campground. The spots are nice and spacious. I would recommend the beach front spots (obviously) or any spot in back row. The back row has a nice strip of sand behind...More

We visited the Strand while staying at Loews on Coronado and had a great time. The beach was clean, not too crowded (even on Memorial Day weekend) and provided a backdrop for some gorgeous family photos. We will definitely return to Coronado.
