Our first tour was canceled so we booked this company through the hotel. This was, by far, the better choice. Maeva was our guide and he was excellent. He gave the tour in both English and French but never skipped anything. We saw so much of the sacred sights on the island and most of the history including one museum.... More

We only had wo days in Huahine and decided to take a tour to get an overview of the island on our first day. With all the positive reviews on TA we had high hopes and can happily confirm that we were not disappointed. Ann, our guide, was very friendly and attentive. As on the day we were the only... More

Really a great insight in the life and history of life on a Polynesian island. Manava incredible resourceful and will share with u his opinion about many, many things, which is super interesting! Highly recommend to anyone interested in life beyond the beach! ;)

Manava was a truly outstanding tour guide. In fact, my wife remarked afterwards that he is the "Vin Scully of tour guides," which is a high compliment. We booked this tour as a cruise ship excursion. Entertaining and educational. A great tour. Highly recommended.

We had read about this tour when planning our sailing trip and were not disappointed. Maneva was an excellent guide - he was passionate in his explanations about the history as well as the culture of the Polynesian islands. We particularly appreciated how he shared the most recent theories on the settlement of the islands based on current research. This... More

Maneva our guide was excellent and the half day tour we did was not only a great introduction to the island, it's history etc but with plenty of additional commentary on the political situation, the economic situation etc. Other reviews provide a good overview so no point in repetition. Worth doing and we'd recommend to a friend.

We took the Island Eco Tour on Huahine while on a 14 Day Paul Gauguin Cruise around French Polynesia.  Our driver and guide was Manava and we couldn't have been luckier. Manava was born on Huahine and has a real passion for his island and the history of the French Polynesian people and islands. Manava spoke French and English and was... More

We took a half day 4 wheel archaeological tour with Paul. We were worried it would be canceled as there was a lot of rain but Paul was up for it and so were we and one other couple so we set out for a wet morning of fun and learning. The weather was nice enough to let up while... More

The wife and I took a windstar cruise and only did one excursion. This is one of the most historical tours we have ever been on. The guide knew so much about his heritage than most people do. He took his time and showed us everything he could think of. The best thing on the tour was seeing the actual... More

My husband and I were in French Polynesia in September, 2015, and had enjoyed the beaches and water sports but were interested in getting some historical and cultural education about the Society Islands. This was a PERFECT tour for that. Paul is extremely knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and it helps greatly that he is a gifted anthropologist. We saw very diverse sites... More
