Permit was easy to get. We went on a sunny weekday and passed maybe 4 people. This is not a place for strenuous hiking. If you want nice views and an easy walk this is the place.

This is a wonderful National park with easy paths from the enterance to the cliffs overlooking the Pacific. A must do for a nice walk and a great view!!

The guide books and web page advertise a 1.5 mile (eat way) hike to Inspiration Point. What they didn't point us is that the parking lot is 1.5 miles from the entrance. So, your 3 mile hike just turned into a 6 mile hike. If...More

Trail is in great shape, Springtime beautiful, with lots of flora and fauna. A bit of an elevation increase and there are several rest spots. Overlooking Carmel by the Sea to Pebble Beach.
